What is NaCl solution 0.9%?
The NaCl solution 0.9% is a sterile, isotonic saline solution (physiological saline solution) consisting of sodium chloride in purified water. Isotonic means that the osmotic pressure of the solution corresponds to that of blood plasma and nasal mucosa – this makes it feel significantly more pleasant and gentler compared to pure water or solutions containing preservatives.
Application
NaCl solution 0.9% is particularly suitable as a diluent for the intranasal application of reconstituted research peptides such as Selank, Semax or Adamax – for example, in combination with our Nasal spray pump atomizer. Unlike bacteriostatic water (BAC Water), it does not contain benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which can irritate the sensitive nasal mucosa with repeated intranasal use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use NaCl solution instead of BAC Water for the nose?
BAC Water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative – unproblematic for injections, but can lead to dryness and irritation of the nasal mucosa with repeated use. Isotonic saline solution is preservative-free and therefore gentler.
